What is OCI(Overseas Citizenship of India) Cardholder?

The Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) is an immigration status in which a foreign citizen of Indian origin can get permission to live and work in India indefinitely. In response to the demands for dual citizenship by the Indian diaspora, the OCI was introduced. In August 2005, it was introduced by The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2005. According to the Constitution of India, an Indian citizen can not hold dual citizenship. OCI is also not the actual citizenship of India and it comes up with many limitations like no right to vote or hold constitutional offices, buy agricultural properties, etc. In order to apply for an OCI document, a holder must be a citizen of another country and have the passport of his country except for Bangladesh or Pakistan.

  4. Arrange Required Documents and sign it
  5. Arrange a Surrogate Mother between age 25-35yr (From Family, Relatives or Friends) that work for you without compensation.
  6. Arrange Documents of Surrogate, Her Husband, Her Existing Children and schedule her meeting with clinic doctor.
  7. After Medical Fitness Report & Psychological Fitness of Surrogate arrange a meeting with lawyer to sign the docs
  8. Get a Surrogate Life & Health Insurance for a period of 3 year.
  9. Lawyer will now submit docuents in Appropriate authorit for inspection
  10. File will either will rejected or send in to district medical board for checking intended couple. 
  11. District Medical Board will issue certificate of Medical Indication of Surrogacy else reject the case.
  12. Appropriate Authority will meet Intended Parents and surrogate to give elligibility and essentiality certificate.
  13. Lawyer will file a case in district court to get the parentage and child custody of surrogate, Intended parents and surrogate need to visit their in court to get the order.
  14. Surrogacy clinic now have permission to implant embryo in surrogate uterus.
